Studio Salvati e Saporiti Italia raccontano la storia di Miamina in collaborazione con CIESSE PIUMINI: un’icona del design torna protagonista in occasione del Salone del Mobile edizione 2025.
Per la Design Week, nell’ambito degli eventi Fuori Salone, CIESSE PIUMINI celebra l’incontro tra heritage e innovazione con Miamina, la Sedia d’autore presentata negli anni 80 a Miami, disegnata da Alberto Salvati e Ambrogio Tresoldi e realizzata da Saporiti Italia.
Oggi, questo pezzo iconico, rivive in una nuova installazione con una vetrina ideata da Studio Salvati all’interno del Flagship Store di CIESSE PIUMINI in Corso Europa 15, a Milano, dove storia e visione contemporanea si intrecciano in un racconto fatto di stile, materiali, e innovazione tecnologica.
L’iconica poltrona viene vestita per identificare i valori e la storia proprie del DNA di CIESSE PIUMINI: un oggetto funzionale, ricercato, tecnico e accattivante dal design versatile e senza tempo.
L’espressività di Miamina ha reso semplice nella sua storia interpretarne i materiali e la struttura, tanto da raggiungere nel 1990 la base del CNR sull’Everest con una versione più leggera.
Questa esperienza risulta un evento straordinario e un punto di connessione con il marchio di abbigliamento, nato con l’obiettivo di creare capi tecnici e funzionali adatti per affrontare le condizioni climatiche più estreme e indossati dagli alpinisti che sfidavano le cime più alte del mondo.
Per celebrare questo momento unico CIESSE PIUMINI ha realizzato una versione speciale della Sedia d’autore. La scelta è stata di utilizzare un tessuto tecnico water repellent imbottito con piumino 800FP, esattamente gli stessi materiali impiegati per la costruzione degli iconici capi di abbigliamento resi idonei a rivestire la struttura storica di Saporiti Italia.
INSTALLAZIONE
Una scenografica vetrina accoglierà i visitatori in un viaggio che li condurrà all’interno del negozio, verso un ambiente immersivo chiamato Experience Room, dove la storia della Miamina prenderà vita. L’installazione sarà visitabile dall’8 al 13 aprile 2025.

Studio Salvati and Saporiti Italia tell the story of Miamina in collaboration with CIESSE PIUMINI: an icon of design returns to the forefront on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2025.
For Design Week, as part of the Fuori Salone events, CIESSE PIUMINI celebrates the meeting of heritage and innovation with Miamina, the designer chair presented in the 1980s in Miami, designed by Alberto Salvati and Ambrogio Tresoldi, and made by Saporiti Italia.
Today, this iconic piece comes back to life in a new installation with a showcase designed by Studio Salvati inside the CIESSE PIUMINI Flagship Store at Corso Europa 15, Milan, where history and contemporary vision intertwine in a narrative made of style, materials, and technological innovation.
The iconic chair is dressed to reflect the values and history inherent to the DNA of CIESSE PIUMINI: a functional, refined, technical, and appealing object with a versatile and timeless design.
The expressiveness of Miamina has made it easy to interpret its materials and structure throughout its history, even reaching the base of the CNR on Everest in 1990 with a lighter version. This experience represents an extraordinary event and a connection point with the clothing brand, born with the goal of creating technical and functional garments suitable for facing the most extreme weather conditions, worn by climbers who challenged the highest peaks in the world.
To celebrate this unique moment, CIESSE PIUMINI has created a special version of the designer chair. The choice was made to use a water-repellent technical fabric padded with 800FP down, exactly the same materials used in the construction of the iconic clothing items made suitable to cover the historical structure of Saporiti Italia.
INSTALLATION
A dramatic showcase will welcome visitors on a journey that will lead them inside the store, towards an immersive environment called the Experience Room, where the story of Miamina will come to life. The installation will be open from April 8 to April 13, 2025.
